The Magaliesberg mountains are home to a wide variety of plant, animal and birdlife – watch out for the shy klipspringer jumping from rock to rock below you or look up to spot an endangered black eagle circling above. Two trained canopy guides assure the safety of each participant while describing interesting facts about the indigenous plants, birdlife, ecology and geology of the area.

- Starting with a safety briefing, canopy careeners are shown the dos and don'ts of the tour before being kitted with their harness, safety helmet and sliding gloves.
- A guide will check that all harnesses are properly fitted and make final adjustments.
- Guests are then bundled into a 4x4 that will take them up to the mountain over a distance of two kilometres.
- After disembarking, guides will lead attendees to the first platform, and the fun will begin.
- During the tour, attendees will zig-zag between platforms across the top of Ysterhout Kloof.
